The Eccentric Shaft Sensor detects the position of the eccentric shaft when equipped with an electronic valve control system. The eccentric shaft adjusts the camshaft so that the optimal intake valve lift can be achieved in each operating state (the intake valve lift can be adjusted steplessly).
