Introduction to Injector

2021-07-17

The fuel injector is a precision device with very high processing accuracy, which requires a large dynamic flow range, strong anti-clogging and anti-pollution capabilities, and good atomization performance. The fuel injector receives the fuel injection pulse signal sent by the ECU, and precisely controls the fuel injection volume.
The spray characteristics of the injector include atomization particle size, oil mist distribution, oil beam direction, range and diffusion cone angle. These characteristics should meet the requirements of the diesel engine combustion system, so that the mixture formation and combustion are perfect, and higher power and thermal efficiency can be obtained.
Electronically controlled fuel injectors are the most critical and complex components in the common rail system, as well as the most difficult components in design and process. The ECU controls the opening and closing of the solenoid valve to inject the fuel in the high-pressure fuel rail into the combustion chamber with the best fuel injection timing, fuel injection volume and fuel injection rate. In order to achieve an effective injection starting point and precise injection volume, the common rail system uses a special injector with a hydraulic servo system and electronic control components (solenoid valves).
The fuel injector is composed of a hole-type fuel injector similar to a traditional fuel injector, a hydraulic servo system (control piston, control metering hole, etc.), solenoid valve, etc.
